| I narrowly avoided death the other night. I just wanted to let whoever reads my xanga know that I'm alive (and walked away mostly unharmed), but my ML is totalled. Basically, I drove over a patch of black ice, skidded off the freeway, hit a ditch and started rolling a few times. If you have any memories of my car you'd like to share, you can leave them in the comments of Celebration of Life. It would be healing during my time of grief. Yeah, I guess I was pretty sadly attached to that car that I've lugged around since my 16th birthday.
Celebration of Life Death Sucks
Having that near-death experience, as cliche as it may sound, really put my life into perspective. I guess I must have needed that. During the encore of the Jack's Mannequin concert that I was driving back from the night of my accident, Andrew (diagnosed with leukemia last year) played an acoustic version of 21 and Invincible saying that it has become a little more meaningful since he originally wrote it as a birthday present to himself.
I think it has become a little more meaningful to me as well...

| This week's smorgasbord of topics ranged from the mundane: (tip on how
to save more money by using online banks) to the ghastly (having to
spray bug spray to kill maggots on a body in an apartment). Not to
mention some posts regarding my ever-lasting hatred of the Burger King
and people who steal my bandwidth. Oh, and my dad's car was stolen
while it was in service at the dealership. Wha? See you next week.
